The Caves of Meghalaya
For those who enjoy caving, Meghalaya is the right place with many of its caves still unmapped and unexplored. Of the ones surveyed, five are amongst the longest in the Indian subcontinent.
The important caves include:
EAST KHASI HILLS
Krem Mawmluh, Krem Phylutt, Krem Dam, Krem Mawjymbuin and Krem Lymput
JAINTIA HILLS
Krem Kotsati, Krem Um-Lawan, Krem Lashing and Krem Liat Prah
SOUTH GARO HILLS
Siju-Dobakkol, Madadeo River Cave and Telengkol-Balwakol
