Rachel Jones, known for her award-winning blog Hippie in Heels which features glamorous travel in India, and Anna Phipps, author of Global Gallivanting, a travel, lifestyle and adventure blog showcasing India as a destination for women both traveled with us recently on the Monastery & Tribal Discovery Tour. In their opinion, part of what makes the North East region especially intriguing and captivating is that it is so unlike any other place in India, as Anna explained:
“One of my favorite parts of the trip has been seeing the local people and villages that are so different from anything I've seen before! Unlike other parts of India, we have had no hassle here, everyone has been so lovely and so eager to help us and it's been fascinating getting an insight into the culture.”
And should words not suffice to describe the excitement that comes on the heels of an amazing jeep safari, chanting mantras with novice monks or having your fortune told by a tribal shaman, then the impressions carried away will keep those special moments alive for years to come.
